Job description

MedBridge Healthcare is growing, and we are looking for a full-time IT Security Analyst to join our team in Fargo, North Dakota. In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting our systems, safeguarding patient data, and strengthening our cybersecurity posture across a national healthcare organization. If you have experience in cybersecurity, network security, vulnerability management, and incident response, this is an opportunity to work directly with IT leadership and make a meaningful impact. What You'll Do

  • Monitor systems and networks for security threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents and alerts
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts
  • Maintain and support endpoint protection, firewalls, and security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS)
  • Assist in implementing cybersecurity controls and best practices
  • Support compliance with HIPAA and healthcare data security standards
  • Conduct risk assessments and security audits
  • Partner with IT teams to ensure systems are configured securely
  • Help maintain incident response and disaster recovery plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in IT security, cybersecurity, or information security analysis
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Security monitoring tools / SIEM
  • Endpoint protection and antivirus platforms
  • Network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
  • Vulnerability scanning and remediation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to investigate and respond to real-time security threats

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, or CEH
  • Experience in healthcare IT or regulated environments
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and data protection standards
  • Experience with cloud security or Microsoft security tools
