SAP CO-PA Expert

RED Global, on behalf of a Key Client Partner is currently seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA CO-PA (Costing-Based) Consultant to join a major SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, configuring, and implementing Costing-Based Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) within the S/4HANA Finance landscape, ensuring robust profitability reporting and seamless integration with core Finance and Logistics processes., * Lead the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Costing-Based CO-PA as part of an S/4HANA transformation programme.

• Conduct business workshops to gather profitability reporting and management accounting requirements.
• Configure Operating Concerns, Characteristics, Value Fields, Derivation Rules, Valuation Strategies, and Profitability Segments.
• Configure and support settlement processes into CO-PA from Cost Centres, Internal Orders, Production Orders, Sales Orders, and COPA assessment cycles.
• Ensure seamless integration between CO-PA and SAP FI, CO, SD, MM, Product Costing, Material Ledger, and Universal Journal where applicable.
• Design profitability reporting to support business performance analysis, margin reporting, and executive decision-making.
• Support data migration activities related to CO-PA during the SAP S/4HANA implementation.
• Perform impact assessments and support the migration of existing CO-PA functionality from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
• Develop functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams on custom developments, interfaces, reports, and enhancements.
• Support SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and knowledge transfer activities.

• Proven experience delivering SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation or transformation projects.
• Strong hands-on configuration experience with Costing-Based CO-PA.
• Deep understanding of SAP Controlling (CO) and profitability analysis processes.
• Experience with data migration and CO-PA conversion activities during S/4HANA projects.
• Strong understanding of profitability reporting, margin analysis, and management accounting.
• Experience preparing functional specifications and supporting testing throughout the project lifecycle.
• Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
