Job description
As an Application Support Engineer, you will join a team responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and support of business-critical applications running in acceptance and production environments.
You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of applications and underlying platforms while contributing to infrastructure improvements and operational excellence.
Your Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain internally developed applications across acceptance and production environments.
- Support application hosting platforms, primarily based on Windows Server, IIS, and SQL Server.
- Assist in designing and implementing infrastructure solutions for new applications.
- Monitor application health, performance, and availability.
- Perform second-line troubleshooting and incident resolution.
- Support and maintain shared technologies such as RabbitMQ, Redis, MongoDB, and other middleware solutions.
- Contribute to Disaster Recovery (DRP) and Business Continuity (BCP) planning and testing.
- Configure and maintain load balancing solutions (F5 experience is a plus).
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and IT teams.
- Maintain accurate technical and operational documentation.
- Participate in an on-call rotation (24/7 duty service - approximately 1 week in 6).
Your Profile
Technical Skills
Strong experience supporting applications on Linux (Red Hat):
- Application deployment
- Log analysis
- System monitoring
- Health and performance checks
- Scripting
Extensive experience with Windows Server environments (2012-2022)
Good knowledge of:
- IIS administration and web application deployments
- PowerShell scripting
- Networking concepts, firewalls, authentication and authorization principles
- DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Nice-to-have knowledge:
- Microsoft SQL Server
- MongoDB
- RabbitMQ
- Redis
- Neo4j
