Job description
- Collaborate with Fraud Detection experts to continuously improve fraud prevention strategies.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain fraud detection models and RiskShield rules.
- Analyze large datasets to identify emerging fraud patterns and recommend new detection strategies.
- Leverage newly available data sources to enhance fraud detection performance.
- Define, specify, and document additional data requirements where needed.
- Monitor the effectiveness of fraud detection models and continuously improve their accuracy.
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to translate fraud risks into analytical solutions.
- Contribute to the evolution of real-time fraud detection capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, preferably within large-scale or Big Data environments.
- Proven hands-on experience with RiskShield (Client and Server).
Strong knowledge of fraud detection in:
- Payment transactions
- Online Banking
- Card Payments
Good understanding of modern payment security technologies including:

Strong Customer Authentication (SCA)

PSD2-related authentication mechanisms

Experience with SQL, Python, BI tools, and data analysis frameworks.

Familiarity with real-time transaction processing systems and in-memory databases is considered a strong asset.

Education

Languages
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Good knowledge of Dutch or French (knowledge of both is an asset).
Nice to Have
- Experience within the banking or financial services sector.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques applied to fraud detection.
- Experience with real-time decision engines and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with payment ecosystems and financial regulations (PSD2, AML, etc.).
