Job description
As a French-Speaking Help Desk Technician, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to our French-speaking clients and employees. You will serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting IT issues, resolving technical problems, and ensuring smooth operations for users. This is a hybrid role, allowing you the flexibility to work remotely part of the time, while also offering the opportunity for in-person collaboration at our Barcelona office., Provide Technical Support: Offer technical assistance to French-speaking users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues via phone, email, and remote tools. Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Quickly and effectively troubleshoot technical problems, providing clear, step-by-step guidance to users. Collaborate with Teams: Work with other IT specialists and departments to resolve more complex technical issues and improve system performance. User Account Management: Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access permissions, ensuring that security protocols are followed. System Maintenance: Perform routine checks, software installations, updates, and upgrades to ensure all systems are running smoothly. Document Issues and Solutions: Maintain detailed records of support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system. Client Communication: Ensure clear, timely communication with clients about their support requests, follow-up on open tickets, and escalate issues as needed. Provide Training: Offer basic user training on common software tools, best practices for IT security, and general troubleshooting.
Requirements
Fluency in French (both written and spoken) is required. Proficiency in English (written and spoken) for communication with international teams. Previous experience in a help desk, IT support, or technical customer service role is highly preferred. Solid understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, MacOS), and software applications. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Knowledge of network troubleshooting, VPN, and remote desktop tools is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Nice-to-Haves: IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus. Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk. Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Office 365, G Suite). Basic understanding of cybersecurity practices and best practices.
