iOS Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Senior iOS Engineer to help us build an SDK that is reliable, secure, and high-performing across a wide range of devices and environments. As our user base continues to grow, ensuring a seamless experience - even on older devices and slower networks - is critical.

This role is key to developing a lean, efficient, and scalable app that integrates smoothly with partner applications. Your expertise will help tackle challenges around performance optimisation, reliability, and usability, keeping Veriff at the forefront of digital identity verification., * Designing, developing, and maintaining our iOS SDK using Swift, ensuring high performance, security, and usability

• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend engineers
• Addressing challenges related to performance and compatibility across a wide range of devices and network conditions
• Implementing and improving testing strategies, including unit, integration, and performance testing
• Participating in code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and mentoring other engineers
• Identifying and advocating for new technologies, tools, and best practices to improve development efficiency and product quality
• Proactively identifying bottlenecks and resolving issues to ensure reliability and stability
• Contributing to the technical direction of the iOS SDK and helping shape the future of Veriff's mobile products

• Proven experience as a Senior iOS Engineer with a strong track record in building high-quality iOS applications or SDKs
• Strong expertise in Swift and iOS frameworks (Cocoa Touch, UIKit, etc.)
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable, testable codebases and APIs
• Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns and best practices
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating them into mobile applications
• Experience with testing frameworks and automation tools (e.g., unit, integration, performance testing, Fastlane)
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to drive complex initiatives
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams, * Experience developing and maintaining iOS SDKs
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation processes
• Exposure to other platforms (Android, cross-platform frameworks)
• Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design practices
