Job description

You will play a dual role - combining hands-on delivery of data and AI solutions with technical product ownership of the data products and capabilities we design, build, and evolve for our clients.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Defining and prioritising data product backlogs in close collaboration with business stakeholders
  • Translating business requirements into structured data solutions with clear ownership and governance
  • Ensuring data solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with modern data mesh and lakehouse principles
  • Acting as the bridge between technical delivery teams and business stakeholders
  • Defining KPIs, success criteria, and roadmaps for data products
  • Ensuring data quality, lineage, and governance standards are embedded by design
  • Evaluating and applying emerging technologies within the modern data stack

For senior candidates, the role also includes:

  • Driving business development by identifying new opportunities, contributing to proposals, and helping grow strategic client accounts
  • Defining technical direction across engagements
  • Acting as primary contact for clients
  • Contributing to the evolution of our Data & AI capabilities and service offerings
  • Opportunities to shape the role according to skill set

Requirements

At VENZO, we're expanding our team and are looking for an experienced Senior Data Profile who combines deep data expertise with a product-oriented mindset.

Do you thrive at the intersection of technical delivery and business value - shaping data products that organisations actually use?, We are open to different experience levels, provided you bring strong data fundamentals, practical delivery experience, and a product mindset., * Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or equivalent practical experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a data role delivering production-ready solutions (could be engineering, architecture, governance or BI)
  • You may have experience acting as a technical Product Owner or technical lead on data products or BI platforms
  • Hands-on experience across the full data lifecycle - from ingestion and modelling to consumption and governance
  • Experience working with business stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into data solutions

Technical Capabilities

We expect a deep technical acumen pending on your previous roles, we could see you have in dept knowledge in one or more of the following:

  • Platforms: Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, or Databricks
  • Semantic modelling: Power BI, DAX, and semantic layer design (e.g. star schema, composite models)
  • Data Engineering: ETL/ELT pipelines, large-scale data processing, Delta Lake
  • Programming: SQL, Python or other programming experience
  • Governance & quality: Working with lineage tracking, access control, master data management in Unity Catalog, Microsoft Purview or similiar
  • Product tooling: Backlog management in Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar
  • Cloud: Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Purview, Databricks) or equivalent platforms
