Job description

As a UI Artist, you will be working with an established UI/UX team to create a range of 2D UI assets, including iconography, representations of the game world, and in-world branding to support consistent and lively presentation. The work will contribute to the UI's existing graphic design-led visual direction and game branding.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working within the UI/UX team whilst continuously collaborating with the brand and art teams to concept and create a range of shippable UI assets, particularly icon design, in-world branding, and representations of the game world within the UI.
  • Building strong, collaborative working relationships with the UI/UX, art, design, and engineering teams to ensure consistency, authenticity, and brand harmony across the UI.
  • Maintain documentation to track the status of work both in and outside of the game.

Requirements

  • Expertise with design tools like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and other general design tools.
  • Excellent creative problem-solving skills by creating simple solutions to complex problems.
  • Great communicator, with strong presentation skills and the ability to clearly convey your ideas to non-art stakeholders.
  • A solid grasp of visual design and user interface design principles.
  • Ability to work autonomously.

Advantageous:

  • Experience creating UI/UX on a shipped title.
  • Prior experience working with UI design systems in Figma.
  • Have worked with After Effects and have experience with motion graphics.
