Job description

  • Lead the Business Banking data consumption workstream within the wider EDP transformation programme.
  • Own technical solution design and delivery across a modern data platform environment.
  • Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements and perform gap analysis.
  • Translate business requirements into technical design and build specifications.
  • Drive alignment with Data Management Controls and enterprise data standards.
  • Manage complex dependencies across multiple workstreams, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership across mixed onshore and offshore delivery teams.
  • Present progress, risks, and decisions to Steering Committees, governance forums, and senior stakeholders.
  • Support AI-led development approaches and modern engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering Medallion Architecture solutions on modern data platforms.
  • Strong track record leading large-scale data platform migration / modernisation programmes.
  • Experience applying Data Management Control standards into solution design and engineering specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex dependencies across enterprise programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and governance experience.

About the company

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Tech Lead - Enterprise Data Platform to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 12 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Manchester (Radbroke) 2 days a week. Our client is supporting the mobilisation of a major Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) programme within a leading UK Banking organisation. The wider initiative consists of two significant workstreams: * Data Hydration onto the new Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) * Business Banking consumption of data from the EDP
