Job description
Are you an experienced Systems Architect with a passion for Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)? Do you enjoy solving complex engineering challenges and working across multiple disciplines to shape the next generation of advanced technology?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing architecture team where you will play a key role in developing sophisticated mission planning systems used across cutting-edge aerospace and maritime programmes.
What you will be doing
- Develop and evolve system architectures using MBSE principles
- Create and review high-quality architecture models and design artefacts
- Support key engineering milestones and technical design reviews
- Ensure models remain complete, coherent and aligned to development activities
- Maintain traceability between requirements, architecture and implementation
- Promote common solutions and re-use across multiple product lines
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges
Requirements
- Experience as a Systems Architect or Systems Engineer working with MBSE
- Practical experience using Rhapsody or similar modelling tools
- Knowledge of SysML and systems architecture principles
- Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS Next Generation (or equivalent)
- Experience using configuration management tools such as Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) or similar
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A logical, analytical approach to solving complex engineering problems
- Mission Planning experience would be advantageous but is not essential
