Job description

  • Build and configure Amazon Connect contact flows, queues, routing profiles, and hours of operation
  • Build integrations between Amazon Connect and downstream systems (CRM, WFM, ticketing platforms) via APIs and Lambda
  • Develop and maintain Lambda functions supporting Connect contact flows (Node.js/Python)
  • Configure and tune Amazon Lex bots for self-service and IVR automation
  • Implement reporting and analytics via Connect Contact Lens, CloudWatch, and Kinesis data streams
  • Write and maintain infrastructure-as-code where the engagement requires it (CloudFormation/CDK/Terraform)
  • Unit test and support UAT for developed components, resolving defects raised during test cycles
  • Document build configuration and handover materials for support teams
  • Work from architecture designs provided by the Solution Architect, flagging any design/build gaps early

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a partner/consultancy delivery environment (sub-contract delivery, working to third-party SOWs)
  • Demonstrable hands-on build experience in Amazon Connect (not just AWS generalist experience)
  • Strong Scripting/development skills in Node.js and/or Python for Lambda-based development
  • Experience with Amazon Lex, Contact Lens, and Connect APIs
  • Working knowledge of AWS services commonly used alongside Connect (DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, EventBridge, IAM)
  • Experience integrating with third-party CRM/WFM/telephony platforms via REST APIs
  • Comfortable working in an agile delivery environment with sprint-based delivery and defect tracking
