What you ll be doing

As Lead Data Scientist, you ll combine deep technical work with strategic leadership:

  • Design and deploy predictive models and ML solutions that power real-time markets.
  • Work hands on with cutting-edge datasets, AI techniques, and scalable data pipelines.
  • Identify patterns and insights that directly influence live business decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, analysts, and platform teams to optimise performance and reliability.
  • Drive best practice, mentor / coach across the Data Science function.

Requirements

You re an experienced data scientist who enjoys solving complex problems and helping others grow., * Proven experience in a Senior or Lead Data Scientist role (preferably in sports, gaming or similar).

  • A track record of mentoring teams and leading technical projects.
  • A degree (BSc/MSc) in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience using frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
  • Experience with cloud platforms or distributed computing (GCP preferred, but AWS or Azure also welcome).
  • Exposure to neural networks (a plus, not a must).
  • A genuine interest in sports and data-driven decision making.
