Job description
· Career and Technical Institute Instructor for Network Security Specialist will report directly to the Workforce Training and Continuing Education Program Supervisor and will deliver high-quality classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction. Instruction is provided using an approved curriculum and industry-relevant training materials to prepare students for entry-level employment in the Information Technology and Cybersecurity industry. · Career and Technical Institute Instructor for Network Security Specialist will remain consistent with Camden County College's acknowledgement of the inherent value and dignity of all individuals by creating and nurturing a learning and working environment that affirms and leverages our community's traditions, heritages, perspectives, and experiences. We manifest this commitment through our innovative, strategic and collaborative efforts to develop leaders who believe in and lead others toward practicing civility, mutual respect, in our workplaces and society., · Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction aligned with the approved curriculum on a daily basis. · Develop lesson plans that support student learning outcomes and workforce readiness. · Organize and maintain instructional materials, tools, equipment, and supply inventories. · Monitor and evaluate student progress, including grading and attendance tracking. · Provide timely, accurate, and constructive feedback on student performance, behavior and participations. · Maintain current knowledge of applicable industry standards, laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, and integrate this knowledge into daily instruction. · Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student behavior and instructional progress. · Model professionalism, reliability, and respect to contribute to a positive school culture.
Requirements
· 5 years of experience in the field. · Prior teaching experience preferred. · Proficient written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, complete student evaluations and document student progress. · Strong verbal communication skills for classroom instruction and student engagement. · High School Diploma or GED. · Industry-recognized cybersecurity or networking certifications (such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, CySA+, or equivalent) and demonstrated professional experience in information technology, networking, cybersecurity, or related fields are preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS · This position requires mobility throughout the campus. · Dexterity in working with computers is mandatory. · Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while teaching in a classroom and lab settings. · Ability to lift, carry, and move program related equipment or training materials up to 50lbs. · Sufficient manual dexterity to install, configure, troubleshoot, and demonstrate networking hardware, computer systems, and related training equipment. · Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb and reach when demonstrating related technical training in a lab environment.
