Job description
The Oracle Health Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of Oracle Health (Cerner) projects and workstreams within a larger program or portfolio. This role manages day-to-day project activities, coordinates cross-functional teams, and ensures successful delivery of clinical and technical initiatives that support patient care and operational effectiveness. The Project Manager partners closely with program leadership, clinical stakeholders, IT teams, and vendor partners to deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned to organizational priorities.
Reports to Oracle Health Program Manager or EPMO Leadership. Works closely with clinical leadership, IT teams, operational stakeholders, and vendor partners.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead end-to-end project delivery including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate project tasks across clinical, operational, and technical teams.
- Ensure alignment with Oracle Health program timelines and dependencies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects or workstreams.
- Facilitate meetings, working sessions, and status updates.
- Maintain project records in ServiceNow SPM or other tools.
- Provide regular status reporting including risks, issues, and milestones.
- Identify, track, and manage project risks and issues.
- Coordinate vendor deliverables and escalation as needed.
- Support change management, training, and go-live readiness efforts.
- Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic's mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, IT, Business or related field, or 7+ years of project management experience in healthcare IT.
Experience
- 3 years of project management experience in healthcare IT.
- Experience supporting EHR implementations or healthcare technology projects.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Preferred: Oracle Health/Cerner experience, PMP certification, ServiceNow SPM familiarity, knowledge of healthcare regulations (HIPAA).
Certifications and Licenses
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible to operate a vehicle in accordance with Billings Clinic policy.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered. Employees that require a licensed or certification must be properly licensed/certified and the licensure/certification must be in good standing.
