You will design and implement software solutions that meet deterministic timing and safety requirements, driving projects from conception through to implementation, testing, and release. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement software solutions with deterministic timing and safety requirements.
  • Take ownership of development work, driving projects from initial concept through implementation, testing, and release.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into efficient, reliable code.
  • Optimize software performance for embedded systems and real-time applications.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in both development and production environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of work experience in software development in power systems, energy storage, or related fields.
  • Experience with embedded systems or real-time software development.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in C++ (primary language) and Go.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with power systems, grid-connected assets, or energy storage systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Durham, NC. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
