Job description

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support and maintain a complex Microsoft-centric infrastructure environment. This individual will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for server infrastructure, identity management, endpoint administration, networking, security, backup, and disaster recovery operations., Infrastructure & Identity Management Administer and support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, replication, and identity services. Manage Azure virtual machines, cloud resources, and infrastructure lifecycle activities. Maintain hybrid identity environments using Entra ID (Azure AD) and directory synchronization. Support user provisioning, access management, MFA, Conditional Access, and Privileged Access controls. Ensure system availability, performance, and reliability across core infrastructure platforms. Endpoint & Device Management Manage Microsoft Intune, device compliance policies, configuration profiles, and software deployment. Support Windows endpoint management and lifecycle processes. Maintain patching strategies and endpoint security controls. Deploy and support Microsoft Autopilot and modern device management solutions. Networking Support enterprise network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VPNs, and routing. Coordinate network changes and troubleshoot connectivity, DNS, DHCP, and VPN-related issues. Work with internal teams and third-party providers to implement network improvements and maintenance activities. Maintain network documentation and configuration records. Backup, Recovery & Business Continuity Administer backup and recovery solutions across cloud and on-premises environments. Perform system recovery testing and maintain disaster recovery documentation. Monitor backup jobs and resolve failures proactively. Support business continuity initiatives and infrastructure resiliency efforts. Security & Compliance Monitor and respond to endpoint security alerts and vulnerabilities. Assist with patch management, system hardening, and security compliance initiatives. Support implementation of cybersecurity best practices and least-privilege access controls. Participate in incident response and remediation activities. Documentation & Operational Excellence Maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, and operational procedures. Follow established change management processes and document infrastructure changes. Maintain accurate asset inventories and configuration baselines. Provide regular updates and reporting on infrastructure projects and operational activities.

Requirements

This is a highly hands-on engineering role focused on ownership, execution, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing hybrid Microsoft environments, cloud infrastructure, enterprise networking, and endpoint management while partnering with internal stakeholders and third-party service providers., 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure in a Windows Server environment. Strong experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and hybrid identity solutions. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Intune administration. Experience managing enterprise networking solutions including firewalls, switches, wireless networks, and VPN technologies. Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills. Experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions. Working knowledge of security best practices, identity management, and endpoint protection technologies. Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or similar cloud certification. Experience with Cisco Meraki or comparable enterprise networking platforms. Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments. Familiarity with ITSM platforms and change management processes. Experience working alongside managed service providers or external vendors. Security-focused certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or equivalent. Experience in multi-site or distributed enterprise environments.
