Job description
Our client is seeking a Lead Electrician to oversee electrical operations within a large-scale, mission-critical data center. This role is responsible for the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of critical power infrastructure, including switchgear, UPS systems, generators, transformers, and MV/LV distribution systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong troubleshooting skills, a safety-first mindset, and experience in high-availability environments., * Lead electrical operations, maintenance, and reliability activities.
- Troubleshoot and support critical power systems, including switchgear, UPS, generators, and distribution equipment.
- Execute switching procedures, commissioning activities, and emergency response efforts.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, OSHA, LOTO, and site safety standards.
- Mentor and train technicians while driving operational excellence.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and facilities teams to optimize system performance.
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience with medium- and low-voltage electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of switchgear, UPS systems, generators, transformers, breakers, and protective relays.
- Experience in data centers, critical facilities, power generation, utilities, or industrial environments.
- Ability to interpret single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
- Proven leadership, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills in a 24/7 operational environment., * Experience in hyperscale data centers, HPC, semiconductor, utility, or power plant environments.
- Familiarity with MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, CMMS, and mission-critical operations.
- Experience with substations, on-site generation, SCADA, BMS, EPMS, or DCIM platforms.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license, NETA certification, or related electrical credentials.
