Job description
The Debt Management System (DMS) is a SaaS platform that serves institutional borrowers and lenders in the commercial real estate debt market. It manages loan data, financial calculations, covenant monitoring, and reporting across complex CRE debt structures.
As a DMS Analyst - Quality & Data, you will own end-to-end validation of new features and system changes - testing against defined Acceptance Criteria, surfacing defects, and ensuring calculations are accurate from first principles before they reach clients. Alongside this, you will support data integrity and system configuration tasks that keep the platform running cleanly day to day.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance, real estate, or accounting professional who is analytical, detail-oriented, and technically capable, and who wants to deepen their understanding of sophisticated debt structures, hedging instruments, and financial modeling in a product-driven environment. You will work directly alongside product management, engineering, and client success teams and will receive hands-on training in advanced topics including cashflow modeling, AI development, and derivative valuations. Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & Feature Validation
- Review and validate new features and system changes against Acceptance Criteria defined in Azure DevOps (ADO) prior to production release
- Execute functional, exploratory, and regression testing across DMS in a dedicated test environment, covering calculations, data workflows, navigation, and usability
- Independently replicate system calculations - including loan cashflows, covenant metrics, and effective interest rates - from first principles to confirm accuracy
- Log defects, test results, and observations directly in ADO with sufficient detail for engineering triage; ensure visibility for Product Management
- Validate that UI changes, page layouts, and permission configurations behave correctly across relevant user profiles and data scenarios
- Assist with release readiness reviews and provide a structured sign-off on tested features
Data Integrity & System Maintenance
- Maintain and validate data records across loans, investments, funds, and properties, ensuring configurations are applied correctly and flagging inconsistencies
- Review and reconcile client-facing data reports, focusing on loan balances, hedge activity, effective interest rates, and related financial metrics
- Maintain field mappings used to load financial information from client templates
- Modify UI page layouts to support new features or evolving client data needs
- Provision new feature access across user groups and profiles as releases are deployed
- Add new property financial field mappings as new data types or asset classes are introduced
- Validate system data accuracy on an ongoing basis as the platform evolves
- Review and investigate report discrepancies flagged by internal teams or clients
- Assist with change management communications and materials related to new releases
Requirements
- Background in finance, real estate, accounting, or a related analytical discipline
- Ability to read and reconstruct financial calculations independently - if given a loan term sheet, you can build the cashflow schedule in Excel without being walked through it step by step
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to identifying discrepancies or unexpected behavior
- Comfort working with structured data in spreadsheets; able to spot errors, trace formulas, and reconcile outputs
- Clear written communication - you can describe a defect, a data issue, or a test result in a way that is unambiguous and actionable
- Organized and self-directed; able to manage a test cycle against defined criteria with limited supervision
Preferred
- Familiarity with CRE debt concepts: loan structures, covenants, LTV/DSCR/debt yield metrics, floating rate mechanics
- Experience with or exposure to Salesforce as an end user or administrator
- Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools for issue tracking
- Understanding of interest rate hedging products (caps, swaps) at a conceptual level
- Prior involvement in software testing, UAT, or data validation in a financial or real estate context
