Job description

We are seeking an experienced MDM/PIM Architect with deep expertise in product and material master data to lead the design and delivery of enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) and Product Information Management (PIM) solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical architecture skills with the ability to advise clients on product data strategy, governance, and business processes. The successful candidate will understand how product information moves throughout the product lifecycle and will be comfortable working directly with business stakeholders, engineering teams, supply chain organizations, and technical teams to develop scalable product data solutions.

This is a client-facing consulting role where success is measured as much by communication, workshop facilitation, and solution design as technical expertise., Client Advisory & Solution Design

  • Conduct client workshops to gather business and technical requirements.
  • Partner with client stakeholders to understand current-state product data processes and define future-state solutions.
  • Advise clients on product data governance, master data strategy, and best practices.
  • Translate business objectives into scalable MDM/PIM solution architectures.
  • Develop solution blueprints and implementation roadmaps that align business and technical requirements.
  • Build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor throughout project delivery., * Architect enterprise MDM and PIM solutions focused on product and material master data.
  • Design product hierarchies, classifications, taxonomies, attributes, specifications, and governance models.
  • Develop conceptual, logical, and physical product data models.
  • Design workflows supporting product creation, enrichment, approval, publication, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Define integration strategies between MDM/PIM platforms and enterprise applications.
  • Ensure solution designs support high-quality, governed, and scalable product data.

Product Domain Leadership

  • Apply working knowledge of product and material master data within manufacturing, distribution, retail, or product-centric organizations.
  • Understand how product information supports engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, supply chain, merchandising, digital commerce, and downstream business processes.
  • Facilitate discussions around product lifecycle management, governance, and data quality.
  • Help clients improve product data standards, stewardship, and governance processes.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide architecture oversight throughout implementation projects.
  • Produce architecture documentation, technical specifications, process flows, and solution designs.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Mentor consultants and technical team members on MDM/PIM best practices.
  • Participate in solution reviews, testing strategy, deployment planning, and production readiness activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise MDM and/or PIM solutions.
  • Strong experience with Informatica, preferably Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).
  • Experience with product-focused MDM, Informatica Product 360, or comparable product information management platforms.
  • Deep understanding of product and material master data, including item masters, product hierarchies, classifications, specifications, attributes, and governance.
  • Working knowledge of the product lifecycle, from product creation and engineering through sourcing, publishing, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Experience conducting client workshops and gathering business and technical requirements.
  • Strong consulting skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience creating architecture documentation and guiding implementation teams through solution delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Informatica Product 360, Stibo STEP, Syndigo, Reltio, or similar MDM/PIM platforms.
  • Previous experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, life sciences, industrial, or retail organizations.
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts and how they integrate with enterprise product data.
  • Experience integrating MDM/PIM platforms with ERP, PLM, eCommerce, supply chain, analytics, or cloud data platforms.
  • Experience leading enterprise data transformation initiatives within a consulting environment.
