Job description
Insight Global is seeking an SAP Functional Specialist - Procurement for a permanent opportunity supporting enterprise procurement and source-to-pay transformation initiatives. This individual will serve as a key SAP functional SME, driving the implementation, optimization, and long-term strategy of SAP S/4HANA procurement processes across the organization.
This role will be responsible for leading all phases of SAP S/4HANA deployment, including planning, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. The SAP Functional Specialist will partner closely with procurement, finance, inventory, logistics, and business stakeholders to improve Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, drive user adoption, and ensure SAP solutions align with business objectives. This individual will also work with external consultants and technology partners to support system integrations, process improvements, and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
Requirements
This is a highly visible role requiring both strategic leadership and hands-on SAP expertise. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SAP procurement processes, strong business acumen, and a proven track record of delivering large-scale ERP transformation projects. PR $160,000-$165,000 annually., 5+ years of SAP functional experience with a strong focus on Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- 10+ years of direct experience working with SAP modules
- Extensive knowledge of SAP S/4HANA functionality and procurement processes
- Experience supporting full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations, including design, configuration, customization, testing, deployment, and post-production support
- Strong understanding of procurement, sourcing, purchasing, inventory, and supplier management processes
- Experience evaluating and optimizing business processes within SAP environments
- Experience supporting data migration and ensuring data integrity during ERP transformations
- Strong stakeholder management experience working across finance, inventory, logistics, procurement, and business teams
- Proven ability to lead large-scale technology transformation projects from planning through execution
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions in complex business environments
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

- SAP MM (Materials Management) expertise
- Experience with enterprise procurement transformation initiatives
- Experience developing end-user training programs, user guides, and system documentation
- Experience managing third-party SAP consultants, implementation partners, and vendors
- Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing organizations
- Experience working in SAP S/4HANA conversion or migration projects
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements post-deployment
- Experience mentoring junior team members or leading cross-functional project teams
- Strong understanding of procurement reporting, analytics, and operational KPIs
- Experience supporting enterprise-wide business transformation initiatives through SAP technology solutions
