Job description
- Under general supervision, performs routine and recurring assignments in the delivery of Information Technology (IT) customer support services for the Directorate of Cadet Activities (DCA).
- Participates in the planning and delivery of a full range of IT customer support services to the organization. Identifies and resolves issues and problems. Applies information security and information assurance policy, principles and practices.
- Provides help desk support, including information and assistance, to customers including system hardware/software installation, configuration, updates, and troubleshooting. Reports, responds, to and resolves customer requests.
- Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software IA problems pertaining to their CE. Evaluates established methods and procedures and prepares recommendations for changes in methods and practices where appropriate
- Prepares and updates manuals, instructions, and operating procedures. Implement and monitor IA safeguards for CE system(s) in accordance with implementation plans and standard operating procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, i., to include a T3 clearance.
- Must possess or obtain (within 6 months of employment) Information Assurance baseline security certification of Security+ equivalent (or higher) in accordance with the DoDM 8140.03, Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program.
- Must meet DODM 8140.03 baseline certifications for IAT Level II.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: One (1) year of work experience which demonstrates Information Technology knowledge and skill to include all of the following:
- Participating in the planning and delivery of a full range of Information Technology customer support services; AND
- Installing, configuring, upgrading and troubleshooting hardware and software components; AND
- Presenting formal and informal training and assistance to customers; AND
- Reporting, responding to, and resolving customer requests.
Undergraduate or Graduate Education degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks may be substitute for above experience., * Access to certain federal facilities may require a REAL ID-compliant driver's license/ID (marked with a star) or an Enhanced Driver's License (EDL) from WA, MI, MN, NY, or VT.
