Choose the best place for your work - Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You support the development and evaluation of AI-based methods for analyzing unstructured data (e.g., images of technical components)
- You work hands-on with Python, developing, testing, and refining algorithms in close collaboration with the team
- You explore and apply deep learning models, including foundation models (e.g., SAM), for segmentation and analysis tasks
- You use modern software development tools, especially Git for version control
- You help visualize data, model results, and insights in a clear and structured way for technical audiences and stakeholders
- You contribute to the preparation of documentation, reports, and presentations for internal use

Requirements
- You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- You are at least for one year available (ideally longer)
- You have good programming experience with Python and ideally are confident using version control systems (Git)
- You have hands-on experience with deep learning and have already worked on projects involving the analysis of unstructured data (especially images)
- Ideally, you have worked with Python libraries such as NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn and frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
Your attributes and skills:
- You communicate confidently in English or German
- You are proactive, structured, and enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams
- You communicate clearly and have a strong ability to visualize data, results, and concepts - both in writing and presentations
- You are motivated to solve complex problems in a practical, hands-on environment.
