Job description

New freelance opportunity for a Linux Administrator to join an international IT organisation, working onsite at their office in Valencia, Spain, or fully remote (CET hours).This is an English-speaking role which will suit someone with at least 4 years of Linux experience, that has good communication skills, and who can work in a multicultural and multi-location organisation.As a Linux Admin you will: Operate, maintain and troubleshoot systems, services, configurations, and core applications.Work as a member of the Linux support team Provide production support, troubleshoot problems, provide incident and problem management and monitor and escalate as needed.Identify areas of enhancement and deploy automated processes to minimize human intervention.Define and implement security best practices and hardening of the Linux Server and related technologies.Provide technical documentation.Provide on call or out of hours support if required.To be considered, you will have the following: Minimum of 4 years of Linux systems administration, configuration, and troubleshooting Experience with monitoring and alerting tools Experience using Red Hat Satellite, or an equivalent tool, to centrally manage servers in an enterprise environment Experience with patching, updating and bug remediation for Linux OS and third-party applications.Ansible experience would be a bonus English language skills This is a live requirement and the client is looking forward to receiving CVs in the coming days and can set up single stage Teams interviews soon after.If you are a Linux Admin or Sys Admin or a System Engineer with Linux skills, and if you want to work with a global entity that will look great on your CV and which offers a fantastic work/life balance, then please get in touch today.#LI-AM1
