Job description

As an HPC Platform Engineer, you design, deploy and maintain high-performance computing infrastructure to support research and industrial workloads. You lead the architecture of compute clusters, fast interconnects, and storage, aligning infrastructure with Ru0026amp; D needs. You establish standards, automation, and security while enabling scalable, reliable performance. You act as a technical reference for HPC and quantum computing within the organization, evaluating new technologies and fostering cross-functional collaboration., * Design and implement HPC platforms including compute clusters, GPU acceleration, and high-speed interconnects

  • Manage scheduling and orchestration with SLURM, PBS or similar workload managers
  • Oversee storage systems such as Lustre, GPFS, object storage, and hybrid setups
  • Deploy containers and reproducible environments (Singularity/Apptainer, Docker, Kubernetes) for HPC workloads
  • Develop Automation u0026 Infrastructure as Code using Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines
  • Integrate quantum computing elements (quantum simulators, SDKs) with cloud or hardware backends
  • Conduct performance tuning and resource optimization
  • Provide advanced user support and incident resolution
  • Produce technical documentation and share knowledge
  • Collaborate with vendors, research centers, and technology partners

Requirements

  • 3+ years in HPC Platform Engineer, Scientific Computing Systems Engineer, or DevOps/SRE in high-performance environments
  • Experience with large-scale Linux systems and HPC/accelerated computing (CPU/GPU)
  • Proficiency with SLURM or other job schedulers
  • Strong knowledge of high-performance networking (InfiniBand, RDMA)
  • HPC containers experience (Singularity/Apptainer)
  • Automation skills (Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python)
  • Knowledge of quantum computing fundamentals and SDKs (Qiskit, Cirq, Braket)
  • HPC-Cloud integration (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with NVIDIA/AMD hardware and Mellanox networking is a plus
  • Languages: Spanish u0026 English
