Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine, In this role, you will partner closely with members of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Data Science organization and other business leaders to implement visualization solutions applying human centered design to build functional products that drive data insights. You will be responsible for the delivery of engaging and innovative data products, such as dashboards, to support our clinical trials by making data and insights more accessible and impactful. You will partner with teams across R&D such as Data Science, Biomarker & Dx Development and Clinical Operations to deliver innovative solutions for study teams' most impactful questions. Your expertise in data visualization and SQL will enable the delivery of these data products., Data Visualization & Dashboarding
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports for R&D operational metrics (e.g., study timelines, resource allocation, portfolio tracking, experiment throughput).
- Create visual narratives that simplify complex datasets for diverse audiences including scientists, clinicians, and leadership teams.
- Implement visualization best practices focusing on clarity, usability, and storytelling.
Operational Data Analytics
- Work closely with R&D, Clinical Operations, and Program Management to identify key performance indicators.
- Analyze experimental workflows, preclinical and clinical study data, and project pipeline metrics to identify trends and bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data pipelines are reliable, automated, and scalable.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Research, Clinical, Regulatory, and Finance) to understand data needs and deliver tailored visual insights.
- Present analytical findings and visualization outputs to senior leadership for strategic planning.
Tools & Technologies
- Build and deploy dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Spotfire (preferred in pharma R&D environments).
- Use Python, R or SQL for data manipulation and integration.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Background in life sciences or pharmaceutical R&D is strongly preferred., + 6 - 8+ years of experience in pharma/biotech R&D or commercial functions, with significant exposure to data management or 4+ years of experience in pharma/biotech R&D or commercial functions with advanced degree.
- Proficiency in visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire, Looker).
- Strong SQL and data wrangling skills; experience with Python or R a plus.
- Familiarity with data models and systems used in R&D (e.g., LIMS, ELN, CTMS, ERP).
- Understanding of statistical methods, experimental design, and clinical development processes.
- Strong communication and storytelling abilities, particularly for non-technical audiences.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy, integrity, and compliance (GxP awareness a plus).
- Collaborative team player with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
