Job description
We are a corporate department that manages the global information technology systems. We work very close to the PMO department, which defines formal processes that combine all business systems tools. The daily tasks include choosing and adopting or designing and developing the tools that support the company business core. We also support the whole company in day-to-day operations regarding our tools and processes, including training when it is needed.
We do not manage only the different tools but the development of the integrations between the third-party cloud services we use. We are in a continuous innovation environment, searching for new systems that improve the Making Science software platform and managing project implementations.
We are a team that is eager to grow and do things the right way, 100% aligned with our corporate values, where we face the challenge of being "Customer and People Centric" every day.
What we'd like you to do
- Act as the first point of contact (L1/L2) for SAP support across Corporate and Finance teams (Treasury, Accounting, Billing), managing day-to-day incidents and escalating L3 issues to the SAP Partner when required.
- Resolve functional/technical issues within the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud standard (SAP Fiori), ensuring compliance with system architecture and optimizing resolution times through Jira Service Management.
- Maintain and manage SAP master data and basic configuration, including Cost Centers, Profit Centers, G/L Accounts, banks, corporate credit cards, company code updates, basic tax-related settings and others.
- Provide operational support for SAP FICO and Professional Services processes, including journal entries, period closing issues, timesheet errors, duplicate entries, and basic monitoring of event-based revenue recognition.
- Basic Knowledge in Procure to Pay and Order to Cash.
- Manage user lifecycle activities (onboarding, offboarding, role assignments, and access requests) following SAP Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Segregation of Duties (SoD) principles.
- Create and maintain user documentation and knowledge base articles to support self-service capabilities and reduce recurring support requests.
- Monitor, prioritize, and track incidents, requests, SLAs, and knowledge articles using Jira Service Management.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, the SAP Program Manager, and external SAP support partners to ensure effective issue resolution and continuous service improvement.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in SAP support, junior SAP functional consulting, or as an advanced SAP Key User in enterprise environments.
- Mandatory SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud certification, ideally with knowledge of the 3-System Landscape (3SL) methodology.
- Functional knowledge of SAP FICO, Professional Services (Projects & Timesheets), and Procurement (MM) processes.
- Experience managing SAP Fiori user access, IAM, business roles, and business catalogs, with a basic understanding of SAP IAG and Segregation of Duties (SoD).
- Experience using Jira Cloud / Jira Service Management for ticket management, SLA tracking, and knowledge base administration.
- Familiarity with SAP standard data migration tools, templates, and upload cockpits.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent SAP-related experience.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distinguish between user errors and system-related issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical SAP concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently while respecting SAP Public Cloud standards and governance.
- Business awareness of how SAP processes impact financial operations, procurement, and month-end closing activities.
