Job description

Mirapath is seeking an experienced Critical Power & Data Center Field Technician to support customers throughout the BENELUX region.

This position specializes in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical power infrastructure, with a primary focus on UPS systems, battery technologies, power distribution equipment, and supporting data center infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be customer-facing, capable of working independently, and comfortable traveling extensively throughout Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and occasionally neighboring European countries.

Primary ResponsibilitiesUPS & Critical Power

  • Install and commission single-phase and three-phase UPS systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on enterprise UPS systems.
  • Troubleshoot UPS alarms, faults, battery failures, inverter issues, bypass operations, and power quality problems.
  • Recharge UPS systems
  • Replace batteries, capacitors, fans, control boards, and other field-replaceable components.
  • Perform firmware upgrades and software configuration where applicable.
  • Execute startup, shutdown, and bypass procedures safely.
  • Perform battery impedance, discharge, and load testing.
  • Support generator integration and automatic transfer switch (ATS) testing.
  • Perform emergency service response for critical power outages.

Data Center Infrastructure

  • Install and maintain PDUs, rPDUs, RPPs, busway systems, and rack power solutions.
  • Install racks, containment systems, cable management, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Perform structured cabling work including copper and fiber installation as required.
  • Conduct equipment installations, decommissioning, relocations, and hardware replacements.
  • Perform equipment labeling, documentation, and quality inspections.

Customer Support

  • Provide exceptional on-site customer service.
  • Clearly communicate technical findings and recommended corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed service reports and maintenance documentation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, remote engineering teams, and customer stakeholders.
  • Participate in scheduled on-call rotations for emergency service requests.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all local electrical regulations and safety procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with customer site access requirements.
  • Perform all work in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Adhere to Mirapath quality standards and documentation requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience servicing enterprise UPS systems.
  • Experience working in mission-critical environments such as:
  • Data Centers
  • Colocation Facilities
  • Hospitals
  • Financial Institutions
  • Manufacturing Facilities
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Three-phase electrical systems
  • Critical power distribution
  • UPS architecture
  • Battery technologies (VRLA, Lithium-Ion)
  • ATS and generator interfaces
  • Experience with one or more major UPS manufacturers:
  • Eaton
  • Schneider Electric / APC
  • Vertiv
  • ABB
  • Legrand
  • Panduit
  • Ability to read:
  • Electrical schematics
  • One-line diagrams
  • Wiring diagrams
  • Familiarity with commissioning procedures and electrical testing equipment.
  • Basic networking and computer skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel extensively throughout the BENELUX region., * Manufacturer certifications from Eaton, Schneider Electric, Vertiv, ABB, Legrand, Panduit
  • Electrical engineering or technical diploma.
  • Experience supporting hyperscale or enterprise data centers.
  • Working knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure.
  • Additional language skills in Dutch, French, or German are highly desirable.
