Python Web Application Developer (Scaling company)

• Mid to senior Python developer role within a rapidly scaling engineering function
• Core stack: Python (Django / FastAPI), TypeScript, React, AWS or Azure
• Belfast-based hybrid working, with remote flexibility once embedded
• £55,000 to £65,000

You will work across backend services, internal platforms, customer-facing applications, and integrations, contributing from user story through to delivery. You are joining at a key stage in the evolution of the engineering function, with real ownership of your work and the chance to step into a senior-level position as the team grows., * Design and build scalable web applications using Python and TypeScript
• Develop and maintain backend services, REST APIs, and internal tooling
• Contribute to solution design from user story through to delivery
• Collaborate closely with BA teams and product stakeholders to translate requirements into working software
• Build and improve cloud-based systems and services across AWS or Azure
• Work with React, serverless functions, and third-party integrations
• Deliver across large-scale projects with high volumes of user stories and real business impact

• Strong commercial experience with Python and a relevant framework such as Django or FastAPI
• Solid experience building web applications and REST APIs
• Comfortable working from high-level requirements through to solution design and delivery
• Good understanding of cloud environments, AWS or Azure
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Desirable:

• Commercial TypeScript experience
• Exposure to React or serverless architectures
• Experience working within large, complex programme environments
