Job description
- Must be actively SC Cleared
Data Engineers required to join a major public sector client based in the UK offering excellent rates for a long-term engagement. Candidates must hold active SC Clearance and be able to work on a hybrid basis, with 2 days per week on site based in the West Midlands.
Required skills & responsibilities
- You will be required to design, develop, and deploy data integration and transformation solutions across enterprise data platforms.
- Architect and implement scalable data pipelines supporting business intelligence, analytics, and reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver robust data solutions.
- Drive Agile, Scrum and DevOps practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment of data services.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and performance standards are maintained across all solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong experience with ETL technologies including Pentaho and Talend is required.
- Experience with Denodo data virtualisation and SAS analytics/reporting is essential.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, SQL and Data Modelling is required.
- Skills required within - Pentaho, Talend, Denodo, SAS, SQL, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Agile and Scrum.
Open to candidates based in Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Bridgnorth, Birmingham and surrounding areas.
