The school is seeking a confident, analytical, and highly organised Data Officer to manage and maintain the school's data systems., * Managing and updating the school's MIS (SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom)

  • Producing data reports for SLT, governors, and middle leaders
  • Analysing student progress, behaviour, attendance, and attainment trends
  • Supporting assessment cycles, data drops, and target-setting
  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of student data across all systems
  • Supporting exams administration with candidate data, entries, and timetables
  • Training staff to use MIS and data tools effectively
  • Ensuring GDPR compliance and maintaining confidential records
  • Supporting census returns and local authority data submissions
  • Working closely with pastoral, curriculum, and admin teams to maintain data accuracy

Requirements

This role is ideal for someone who is analytically minded, comfortable with data systems, and highly reliable.

  • Previous experience in data management, MIS administration, or similar role
  • Strong IT and data-handling skills
  • Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational ability
  • Confident with Excel and data reporting tools
  • Ability to handle confidential student records responsibly
  • Understanding of assessment processes and school data cycles (desirable)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
