Voleon is looking for a Systems Administrator to join our Corporate IT Services (Corp-ITS) team and play a critical role in the operation, support, and continuous improvement of our enterprise IT infrastructure. This position emphasizes platform operations, endpoint management, and technical support, while also building automation and tooling to streamline IT service delivery across the organization.

In this role, you will be directly involved in supporting the firm's software engineering, quantitative research, and financial operations teams. You will balance day-to-day operational excellence with hands-on user support, serving as an escalation resource and coach for the End User Support team while helping to drive efficiency through automation in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

This is a hybrid role based in our London, UK office.

  • Manage SaaS platforms (Microsoft 365/Entra ID, Slack, Zoom) including user administration, provisioning, and license management
  • Provide technical support and escalation for the End User Support team. Resolve complex issues, assist with challenging requests, and coach service desk engineers
  • Own employee technology lifecycle including provisioning workflows, hardware inventory, device refresh programs, and secure offboarding
  • Maintain IT infrastructure including backup systems, server operations, and network services in partnership with Engineering
  • Administer endpoint management platforms (Jamf Pro, Intune) including policies, software deployment, security enforcement, and fleet updates
  • Build automation and tooling using scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) to streamline operations and reduce manual work
  • Create operational documentation (runbooks, standards, guides). Partner with Engineering on infrastructure projects

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years in IT systems administration, platform operations, and user support

  • Strong proficiency in macOS and Windows endpoint administration

  • Solid experience with endpoint management platforms (Jamf Pro, Intune)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365/Entra ID administration

  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (PowerShell, Python, Bash)

  • Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi) and directory services (Active Directory, Entra ID, LDAP)

  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Time Machine)

  • Experience with collaboration platforms (Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace)

  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication for coaching team members

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance operational work with support requests

  • Customer-focused, service-oriented, with the ability to work in a team environment

  • Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, JSM) background

  • Apple Business Manager and DEP/ADE experience

  • Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu)

  • IT certifications (ACSP, Microsoft 365, Jamf, CompTIA)

  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior IT staff

  • Financial services or regulated industry experience
