Job description

This role will involve managing, analysing, and visualizing geospatial data to support property-related decision-making processes. The GIS Analyst will collaborate with various teams to provide actionable insights that drive business objectives as well as supporting the data, sales and analysis teams in producing non-GIS reports and insight., * Collect, process, and maintain geospatial data related to properties, land use, zoning, and other real estate factors.

  • Analyse data across multiple internal and external datasets to produce ongoing and one-off reports.
  • 5+ years' experience producing analytic reports (general analysis as well as GIS specific)
  • Analyse spatial data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that impact property valuation and development.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of GIS datasets through regular audits and quality control.
  • Produce high-quality maps, visualizations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use GIS tools to overlay property data with environmental, demographic, and market information.
  • Develop interactive GIS dashboards to present property-related insights effectively.
  • Provide geospatial analysis for property acquisitions, appraisals, and market studies.
  • Build and maintain geospatial tools and models to automate property analysis workflows.
  • Support the integration of GIS with other business systems, such as Automated Valuation Models (AVMs)
  • Stay updated on advancements in GIS technology, property regulations, and market trends

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with GIS data in property-related fields, such as real estate, land development, or valuation.
  • Strong understanding of spatial analysis techniques and geospatial data management.
  • Familiarity with property datasets, including cadastral data, zoning maps, and market reports.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience using QGIS
  • Producing reports and slides to support sales teams (standard and Geo spatial)
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Urban Planning, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • SQL (essential)
  • 2+ years' experience analysing property data (essential)
  • Experience in a fast-moving start-up style environment (desirable)
  • Power BI (desirable)
  • Postgres (desirable)
  • ADF (desirable)
