Job description
TPT Retirement Solutions are recruiting an experienced Privacy Manager to help embed effective privacy practices across our systems, processes and business activities, supporting risk management, regulatory compliance and the trusted handling of personal data.
You will be a key point of contact for data protection advice, translating regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance for colleagues across the organization.
What you'll be doing
Providing practical data protection guidance and maintaining policies, standards, guidance and playbooks. Managing Data Subject Rights Requests, personal data incidents, regulatory reporting and lessons learned. Maintaining Records of Processing Activities and support accurate documentation of data flows. Delivering DPIAs and risk assessments using a pragmatic, risk-based approach. Providing data protection input into projects, change initiatives, digital transformation and supplier arrangements. Promoting responsible data handling, including classification, retention, access and secure handling. Improving privacy processes, controls and accountability frameworks. Building relationships across teams to support data process mapping, risk identification and effective controls. Supporting supplier assurance where personal data is processed externally. Delivering training, awareness and governance reporting to strengthen data protection compliance.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, the Data Use and Access Act, PECR and wider data protection frameworks. Experience with ROPA, DPIAs, data subject rights requests, incident management and policy development. Ability to identify and manage data protection risks in a practical, risk-based way. Good understanding of data governance, including data quality, retention, record-keeping and information lifecycle management. Experience supporting change, digital transformation or technology environments, such as CRM, cloud, automation or analytics. Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain complex requirements in an accessible way. Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, organization and prioritization skills. Analytical and solution-focused, with experience influencing responsible data handling behaviors. Knowledge of third-party risk management and supplier assurance.
