Job description

As a Senior Network Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering robust, secure, and scalable network solutions for enterprise customers across the UK.

Working alongside Project Managers, Programme Leads, Architects, and Managed Services teams, you'll take ownership of technical delivery throughout the entire project lifecycle-from discovery and design workshops to implementation, migration, troubleshooting, and go-live support.

This role combines strong technical expertise with customer engagement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering while also acting as a trusted technical advisor. What You'll Be Doing

  • Delivering enterprise network solutions across multiple customer projects and programmes
  • Leading technical discovery workshops and gathering customer requirements
  • Producing and contributing to high-level and low-level network designs
  • Implementing network solutions remotely and on customer sites
  • Troubleshooting complex networking and firewall issues across multi-vendor environments
  • Providing technical assurance during migrations, transitions, and go-live activities
  • Collaborating with internal teams including Managed Services, Service Transition, and Microsoft Practice
  • Supporting documentation, knowledge transfer, and service handovers
  • Assisting with pre-sales engagements and solution development where required

Requirements

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled networking professional who enjoys working across diverse customer environments, delivering enterprise-scale solutions from design through to implementation. You'll play a key role in major customer projects, working with cutting-edge networking technologies and leading technical delivery across a variety of sectors., * Strong knowledge of enterprise networking technologies including LAN, WAN, and WLAN

  • Advanced routing and switching expertise including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and network segmentation
  • Experience with modern network architectures such as VXLAN and EVPN
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and firewall technologies
  • Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting multi-vendor network environments
  • Ability to interpret and contribute to both HLDs and LLDs
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven experience delivering networking solutions within a Professional Services or project-focused environment

Experience with Two or More of the Following Vendors

  • Juniper Networks
  • Cisco Systems
  • Palo Alto Networks
  • Hewlett Packard Enterprise (Aruba)
  • Cato Networks

Desirable Experience

  • Data centre networking and fabric-based solutions
  • Cloud networking and hybrid connectivity
  • Aruba ClearPass or other NAC technologies
  • SASE and cloud-delivered networking solutions
  • Pre-sales and solution design
  • Large-scale, multi-site transformation programmes
  • Secure or regulated environments such as Defence, Government, Nuclear, or Critical National Infrastructure

Certifications (Beneficial)

  • CCNP
  • JNCIS / JNCIP
  • PCNSE
  • Aruba Certifications
