We're investing heavily in Microsoft Fabric, Azure and AI technologies as we transform our enterprise data platform, and we're looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to help lead that journey.
This is an opportunity to work on business-critical platforms that support investment operations, regulatory reporting, client insight and business intelligence within a highly governed Financial Services environment.

The Opportunity
Joining a collaborative and highly skilled data engineering team, you'll play a key role in designing, building and evolving our Azure-native data platform.
Working closely with architects, developers and business stakeholders, you'll help deliver secure, scalable and resilient data solutions while contributing to engineering standards, mentoring colleagues and influencing the future direction of our Microsoft data platform.
You'll also help integrate emerging AI capabilities into the platform, enabling more intelligent analytics, automation and data-driven decision making across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and developing enterprise-scale data solutions using Microsoft Fabric
- Building modern Lakehouse and Warehouse solutions within Fabric
- Developing Azure Synapse Analytics solutions
- Creating scalable ETL and ELT pipelines
- Developing Power BI semantic models and supporting reporting solutions
- Engineering robust Azure Data Factory integrations
- Building secure Azure Data Lake solutions
- Working with SQL Server and advanced SQL development
- Delivering API integrations across internal and third-party systems
- Supporting Azure DevOps and CI/CD delivery pipelines
- Contributing to data governance, engineering standards and platform best practice
- Supporting the adoption of AI technologies across the enterprise data platform
Essential Experience
To be successful in this role you'll need previous experience working within Financial Services, Wealth Management, Banking or another regulated financial environment.
You'll understand how enterprise data platforms are engineered within organisations where governance, compliance, auditability and repeatable engineering practices are fundamental.
You'll also bring strong experience across:

AI Experience
We're looking for engineers who have already begun applying AI capabilities within enterprise data platforms.
This could include experience with technologies such as:
- Azure AI Foundry
- Azure OpenAI
- Microsoft Copilot
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- AI-powered analytics
- Intelligent automation
- Machine Learning services
You don't need to be an AI specialist, but you'll be able to demonstrate practical exposure to AI technologies and understand how they can enhance enterprise data engineering.
