The school is seeking a skilled, analytical, and highly organised Data Manager to take responsibility for managing, maintaining, and developing the school's data systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the school MIS (Bromcom) and ensuring all student/staff data is accurate and secure
  • Managing assessment cycles, including data collection, validation, and analysis
  • Producing reports for teachers, Heads of Year, curriculum leads, SLT, and governors
  • Supporting performance analysis, progress tracking, and attainment reports
  • Preparing census returns (School Census, Workforce Census) to statutory deadlines
  • Managing access rights, system permissions, and GDPR-compliant processes
  • Training staff on data entry, analysis tools, and reporting systems
  • Supporting timetabling processes and liaising with the Exams Officer
  • Creating dashboards and data visualisations that support teaching and leadership
  • Working closely with IT, assessment leads, and senior leaders to improve data strategy

Requirements

This role requires someone who is confident with data, highly accurate, and comfortable producing complex analysis.

  • Experience working with MIS systems (Bromcom, Arbor, SIMS, or similar)
  • Strong analytical skills and proficient Excel user
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong understanding of GDPR and data compliance
  • Ability to explain data clearly to staff
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a busy environment
