IT Field Engineer

Are you an experienced IT Engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting users and working across multiple sites?, The Role: As a Field IT Engineer, you'll provide both remote and on-site technical support, ensuring our schools' IT systems operate efficiently with minimal disruption. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 2nd Line technical support to schools and Head Office.
• Installing, configuring and maintaining desktops, laptops, printers and other IT equipment.
• Supporting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 and user accounts.
• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and network issues.
• Maintaining and supporting Active Directory, networking equipment and Wi-Fi infrastructure.
• Carrying out system upgrades, maintenance and security updates.
• Supporting school visits to resolve technical issues and deliver infrastructure improvements.
• Maintaining accurate IT documentation and asset records.
• Delivering excellent customer service and technical advice to school staff.

About You : We're looking for someone who is technically capable, organised and enjoys building positive working relationships. Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous experience in a 2nd Line IT Support or Field IT Engineer role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
• Experience supporting hardware, software and network infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and networking fundamentals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between schools.
• Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• The ability to prioritise workloads and work independently.

A degree in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline is desirable but not essential where relevant commercial experience can be demonstrated.
