Wayman Education is urgently seeking a proactive and technically proficient IT Technician for an immediate start at a forward-thinking secondary school in Hillingdon. This is a vital role within the school's infrastructure team, ensuring that technology remains a seamless tool for both teaching staff and students. The Role
You will provide essential front-line technical support across the school site. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing everything from hardware repairs to network troubleshooting., * Technical Support: Respond to helpdesk tickets, providing hardware and software support for desktop PCs, laptops, tablets, and interactive whiteboards.
- Network Maintenance: Assist in the management of the school's LAN/WAN infrastructure, including Wi-Fi connectivity and server health checks.
- User Management: Manage user accounts and permissions via Active Directory and Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
- Classroom Readiness: Ensure all AV equipment in classrooms and assembly halls is fully functional for daily use.
- Security & Compliance: Assist with regular data backups, anti-virus updates, and ensuring GDPR compliance across all school systems.

Requirements
- Proven experience in a technical support role (experience within an educational setting is highly desirable).
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, ChromeOS, and MacOS.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and cloud-based platforms (M365/Google Workspace).
- Competency in hardware maintenance and peripheral troubleshooting.
- A relevant IT qualification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certification) or equivalent hands-on experience.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
