Job description
We're recruiting for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to act as a DevOps Engineering leader, defining and executing technical strategy across modern cloud and application architectures. Working within the engineering leadership team, this role owns technical direction, engineering excellence, and delivery across the technology estate - with a strong focus on cloud security framework oversight, resilience, and compliance., * Provide excellent DevOps engineering leadership across modern cloud and application architectures
- Own technical direction and execution within the engineering leadership team
- Partner with product teams to define and evolve technical strategy in service of the wider roadmap and security agenda
- Provide technical leadership and engineering oversight, with detailed understanding of the technology estate, architecture, and controls
- Build a dynamic, robust engineering function with consistent skills able to respond to changing organisational demands
- Line manage and coach a team of Infrastructure & DevOps Engineers, promoting a high-performance culture
Requirements
- Leadership experience in a DevOps and/or Infrastructure Engineering role, with line management responsibility
- Proven, hands-on expertise in Terraform, Python, Kubernetes, and cloud-based architectures - including GCP, Azure, and preferably AWS
- Strong familiarity with foundational security controls in modern cloud and enterprise architectures, plus supporting CI/CD ecosystem (ideally Backstage, Harness, GitHub, Jenkins)
- Strong stakeholder management, with the ability to influence product and platform strategy
- Knowledge of cloud, Kubernetes, microservice, and API-based architectures and their security
