Job description

As a Software Engineer in our Risk Experience team, you'll be a core contributor to the bespoke software that empowers our Risk and Compliance teams. You'll work on mission-critical, backend-focused applications that help us make the right decisions and drive operational effectiveness as we scale. This is a vital role in giving us the confidence to onboard new merchants securely and ensuring our internal teams have the best tools to succeed., * Develop and maintain bespoke applications and APIs using C# to integrate with vendors and help establish smart onboarding decisions.

  • Work with C#, GCP, and MongoDB to build and optimise the orchestration of complex risk and compliance decisioning for our merchants.
  • Create and maintain impactful software that enhances risk and compliance processes across the business.
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional team, partnering with product managers and internal stakeholders to deliver solutions that drive success.
  • Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code with a strong focus on delivering robust backend services.

Requirements

  • Solid experience as a backend or full-stack engineer with a strong command of C# for backend development.
  • A good understanding of NoSQL databases (preferably MongoDB) and experience building and integrating with APIs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • A passion for solving problems with data and a commitment to building tools that make people's jobs easier.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and an agile-driven development approach.
  • An interest in modern frontend frameworks (ideally Angular) and AI-assisted coding tools.
