Senior Software Engineer

Remote-first with London office

£65,000-£80,000

We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer for a growing technology business using data and software to improve people's lives across the UK.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building high-quality software, improving engineering practices, and working across the full stack, whilst helping shape the future of a mission-led business.

What you'll be doing:

Building and maintaining full stack applications across frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure and CI/CD

Designing and delivering new features whilst helping modernise a large production platform

Championing engineering best practice across architecture, testing, code quality and deployment

Mentoring and supporting other engineers through pairing, code reviews and knowledge sharing

Working closely with Product, Data and stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes for users

What they're looking for:

Strong experience as a Full Stack or Senior Software Engineer building modern web applications

Experience with modern frontend frameworks and backend technologies

Cloud experience (AWS preferred) and an understanding of CI/CD and modern engineering practices

Someone who enjoys mentoring others and helping raise engineering standards

Comfortable working in a collaborative scale-up environment with real ownership

Legacy Angular front end, currently being migrated incrementally to React

Wider product ecosystem already uses React with a shared component library

TypeScript across the front-end stack

AWS cloud environment

AWS CDK exposure is a strong plus

Strong relevance for engineers who've worked on legacy-to-modern stack migrations, especially moving products from older front-end architectures into newer frameworks
