Job description

CyberSentriq is scaling rapidly as we build a categorydefining, AIenhanced cybersecurity portfolio for the MSP channel. As we approach $100m ARR, we are expanding our Platform and Infrastructure capability and are looking for a Platform & Infrastructure Engineer to help design, build, and operate the systems that support our global business.

This role offers the opportunity to work across physical datacentres and modern cloud platforms, contributing to reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure. What You'll Do:

Platform & infrastructure engineering

  • Design, build, and operate core platform services across physical datacentres and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Support Windows Server and Linux systems used by product and application teams.
  • Contribute to infrastructure lifecycle management across globally distributed environments.

Datacentre & hardware operations

  • Provide remote system administration and coordinate hardware maintenance with vendors.
  • Carry out hands-on datacentre work including server installs, upgrades, racking, cabling, and fault diagnosis.

Automation & configuration management

  • Automate provisioning and configuration using scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code to enable consistent, repeatable platform deployments.

Platform administration & reliability

  • Administer virtualisation, storage, identity, and access platforms.
  • Monitor platform health, performance, and capacity, resolving issues across servers and networks.

Security, resilience & compliance

  • Apply platform hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation standards.
  • Support disaster recovery planning and testing activities.

Documentation & collaboration

  • Maintain clear operational documentation including runbooks and diagrams.
  • Collaborate closely with Platform, Security, DevOps, and Engineering teams.
  • Participate in occasional after hours maintenance windows.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years' experience as a Platform Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar role.
  • Hands on experience working in physical datacentres including hardware, power, cabling, and fault isolation.
  • Strong Windows Server expertise including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Strong Linux administration experience across common distributions.
  • Experience with Enterprise networking equipment such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortigate
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Solid scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and firewalls.

Bonus (not a requirement) experience

  • Hybrid cloud environments.
  • Configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Containerisation technologies including Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
  • Industry certifications across Microsoft, Linux, virtualisation, or cloud platforms.
