Job description

OneSchool Global UK is seeking an experienced Governance and Reporting Manager to join our Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) team. Reporting to the Regional Director of Governance, Risk and Compliance, this is a key role supporting the UK Board and its Sub-Committees while driving governance excellence across a highly regulated educational and charitable environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a governance professional, company secretary, legal professional or compliance specialist who enjoys working at both a strategic and operational level. About the Role You will act as Secretary to the UK Board and its Committees, ensuring effective governance processes, meeting administration, reporting and regulatory compliance. You will also lead several key governance programmes, including Policy Management, Reputational Risk and Conflicts of Interest, while helping to strengthen and enhance governance frameworks across the organisation. The role requires someone who can confidently work with senior leaders and Board members, translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical actions, and deliver high-quality governance reporting and oversight. Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Secretary to the UK Board and its Sub-Committees.
  • Coordinate Board and Committee meetings, including agendas, papers, minutes and action tracking.
  • Maintain governance documentation, including Terms of Reference, governance schedules and Board records.
  • Support the Board in meeting its legal, regulatory, safeguarding, charity and company governance obligations.
  • Lead the Reputational Risk, Policy Management and Conflicts of Interest programmes.
  • Coordinate Serious Incident Reporting and other governance-related regulatory reporting.
  • Maintain registers, licences, accreditations and governance artefacts.
  • Produce governance, risk and performance reporting, including risk appetite metrics and Board reports.
  • Support the Regional Director of GRC with strategic projects, regulatory engagement and governance improvements.

Requirements

  • Significant experience supporting Boards and Committees within a regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, charity law and/or company law.
  • Experience developing governance processes, policies and reporting frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience producing Board reports, metrics and governance dashboards.
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.

Desirable

  • CGIUKI, IRM or similar professional qualification.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Law, Governance, Finance or Compliance.
  • Experience within education, charity or not-for-profit settings.
  • Company Secretary or legal background.
  • Experience with risk management, reputational risk and serious incident reporting.
