Senior Infrastructure Consultant

Due to continued growth, we are hiring a new Senior Consultant who specialises in on-premise and hybrid infrastructure solutions. In this role you will work with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and quality of work.

What will you be doing?

• Lead end-to-end customer engagements, from presales and design through delivery and handover

• Design secure, resilient on-premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure solutions aligned to customer and operational requirements

• Deliver and support infrastructure platforms covering virtualisation, networking, core services, and Microsoft technologies

• Architect and implement high availability, backup, and disaster recovery solutions across complex environments

• Lead or support infrastructure deployments, migrations, upgrades, and modernisation initiatives

• Provide technical leadership, governance, and risk management across all stages of delivery

• Produce high-quality technical documentation and act as a trusted advisor to technical and non-technical stakeholders, The right person for this role will have significant experience in this sector and will have a deep understanding of End User computing (EUC), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) deployment and physical infrastructure., Primary location is our HQ in Pocklington (YO42) but this role can be remote with occasional visits to the HQ and to customers

Important BPSS Check

As part of our recruitment process due to the nature of the work we do, all employees are required to undertake a Baseline Personal Security Standard (BPSS) check. While some employees require further security clearance, the BPSS check is a must-have requirement and all offers of employment are conditional pending the passing of this check

• Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise on-premises and hybrid infrastructure solutions

• Advanced virtualisation expertise across VMware (ideally VMware Cloud Foundation) and Hyper-V

• Deep Microsoft infrastructure skills, including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and VPNs

• Strong enterprise networking capability across routing, switching, security, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and cloud networking

• Expert knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery using Veeam technologies

• Practical automation experience using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or similar tools

• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, cross-platform infrastructure and networking issues

• Strong customer-facing consultancy skills, with the ability to lead engagements and communicate effectively at all levels
