Job description
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid infrastructure and desktop support experience who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting users and getting involved in IT projects-not just answering helpdesk tickets.
Working closely with the IT Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining the company's IT infrastructure while supporting users across the business and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives., You'll be responsible for providing hands-on technical support across a wide range of technologies including:
- Windows PCs and laptops
- Active Directory & Group Policy
- VMware virtual servers
- Microsoft Exchange
- Network devices including switches and printers
- Mobile device management
- IT asset management
- System backups
- Helpdesk support
- PC builds and deployments
- Supporting IT projects
- Occasional travel to other company sites when required.
Requirements
To be considered, you'll need previous experience in a similar IT support role.
We're particularly interested in candidates with experience of:
- Windows desktop support
- Active Directory
- Microsoft Exchange
- VMware
- Network troubleshooting
- PC builds & deployments
- Hardware & software fault finding
- Managing helpdesk tickets
- Supporting users across a busy business environment
Experience working within a manufacturing or multi-site environment would be advantageous but isn't essential., * Minimum 2 years' commercial IT Support experience
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
- Experience supporting Windows environments
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft business applications
- Able to prioritise multiple support requests
- Excellent communication skills
- Full UK Driving Licence (or ability to travel between sites when required).
