Job description

We're looking for an experienced Data & ML Engineer to join a growing technology team delivering modern data platforms and AI-driven solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale data engineering and machine learning projects using the latest cloud technologies.

The Role

You'll design, build and optimise scalable data pipelines while developing and deploying machine learning solutions that solve complex business challenges. Working across cross-functional teams, you'll help deliver robust, secure and high-performing data products.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design and build scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, Spark and Databricks.
  • Develop, deploy and optimise machine learning models, including NLP and generative AI solutions.
  • Build data ingestion pipelines across batch and streaming environments.
  • Design data models and implement best practices for governance and data quality.
  • Work with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD and MLOps pipelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver cloud-based data solutions.
  • Produce dashboards and visualisations using Power BI or Tableau.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • Commercial experience with Python, SQL, Spark and modern data engineering frameworks.
  • Experience deploying machine learning models into production.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or similar data platforms.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, architecture and distributed data systems.

·Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Due to the nature of work, you must be eligible to undergo UK Security Clearance, requiring a minimum of 5 years' UK address history.
