Delivery Ownership: Lead the technical execution of the roadmap, ensuring timely and relevant delivery of high-quality software meeting business needs.

Quality Assurance: Define/Enforce clear standards; reviewed, tested, documented, and stable in production.

Process Reliability: Establish predictable delivery processes with realistic estimates, visible progress tracking, and reporting.

Technical Leadership: Design scalable system architecture, set engineering standards (coding, testing, release), and drive modernisation of Legacy systems.

Security & Stability: Ensure security, data integrity, and platform stability are built into solutions from the ground up.

Define Technical Direction: Partner with the CTO to shape and communicate technical strategy at board level, aligning technology decisions with long-term business goals.

Team Development: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of seven developers, identifying skill gaps and implementing structured learning plans to elevate capabilities.

Code Leadership: Spend 60% of your time hands-on in the code, solving complex Back End and Front End challenges while setting a high technical bar.

Collaboration: Work closely with the CTO, Product Manager, QA, and BA teams to ensure smooth and predictable delivery.
Requirements
Software Engineering Lead (Full Sack): Technical Experience

Backend Expertise: Mastery of C# and the modern .NET ecosystem (.NET Core/.NET 5+), with familiarity in Legacy Web Forms (.NET 4.8). Extensive experience building secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and services.

Database Proficiency: Deep knowledge of SQL Server, including relational database design, query optimisation, indexing strategies, complex stored procedures, and ORM tuning (Entity Framework).

Frontend Development: Strong foundational knowledge of TypeScript and production experience with Angular (2+; currently on version 15) and/or React. Hands-on expertise in state management tools like NgRx, Redux, or Context API.

Cloud Knowledge: Advanced Azure expertise preferred (App Services, Functions, SQL Database, Cosmos DB), with equivalent AWS experience also acceptable.

DevOps & CI/CD: Proven ability to implement automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Testing Standards: Experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit/NUnit) and Front End testing tools (Jest/Cypress) as part of standard development practices.
