Job description

As a Records and Information Management Specialist at the GS-0308-12/13 some of your typical work assignments may include:

GS-13 Duties:

  1. Serve as the subject matter expert in all instances of information management
  2. Develop, implement and manage procedures and policies for DCPAS knowledge management, in support of a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration
  3. Federal records management functions to include scheduling, organization, management, storage, disposition, and training
  4. SharePoint site collection management and administration
  5. Execute the function of a FOIA and Privacy Act action officer, managing cases, liaising with stakeholder offices, and providing guidance to staff
  6. Manage the 508 compliance program, coordinating remediation and training to staff.

GS-12 Duties

  1. Support the subject matter expert in all instances of information management

  3. Federal records management functions to include scheduling, organization, management, storage, disposition, and training
  4. SharePoint site collection management and administration
  5. Execute the function of a FOIA and Privacy Act action officer, supporting case management, stakeholder office liaison management, and staff guidance
  6. Support the 508 compliance program, coordinating remediation and training to staff., Establishing information architectures and creating new procedures to execute information management programs. -Developing and maintaining SharePoint-based solutions, including custom workflows, forms, and dashboards. -Ensuring all electronic and information technology (EIT) developed, procured, maintained, or used by the organization is compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. -Manages the agency's records management program in accordance with National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and DOW directives.

You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:

-Supporting the establishment of information architecture and drafting new procedures to execute information management programs. -Assisting with ensuring all electronic and information technology (EIT) developed, procured, maintained, or used by the organization is compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. -Following the agency's records management program in accordance with National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and DOW directives.
