Job description
- Business Leadership & Growth
- Own P&L performance for certification, field evaluation, and modular data center services in North America
- Develop and execute growth strategies across hyperscale, colocation, and OEM segments
- Build and manage pipeline, driving cross-sell of TIC services (testing, inspection, certification, advisory)
- Position UL Solutions as a system-level assurance partner, not just component certification provider
- Solution Development (Certification + Modular + Field)
- Lead development and commercialization of modular data center service offerings, including:
- Full certification (e.g., UL 2755 and UL 2140 pathways)
- Limited-production certification
- Field evaluation and interim approval pathways
- Translate customer requirements into clear certification and compliance pathways, aligning with AHJ expectations and standards
- Drive bundling of advisory + design review + field validation + certification to remain competitive
- Field & Operational Execution
- Ensure seamless integration between factory testing, field inspections, and final system validation
- Partner with field engineering teams to:
- Deliver inspections and evaluations
- Maintain technical competency and compliance execution
- Improve cycle time, consistency, and customer satisfaction
- Establish scalable operating model for global field service deployment and modular projects
- Customer & Market Leadership
- Serve as senior commercial and technical interface for key customers
- Guide customers through complex system-level approval challenges (power, cooling, integration, modular deployments)
- Build trust with regulators, AHJs, and industry stakeholders to support acceptance of new architectures
- Capture market insights and translate into new service offerings and standards influence
- Cross-Functional Orchestration
- Act as solution orchestrator across sales, engineering, lab operations, and field teams
- Align stakeholders to deliver integrated lifecycle solutions from design ? testing ? certification ? commissioning
- Enable "One UL" delivery model across COUs and global regions
- Product & Portfolio Development
- Define and scale repeatable offerings for modular data centers:
- Design review / report of findings
- Factory validation
- Follow-Up Services (FUS) and Product iQ listing
- Connect component-level TIC with system-level assurance and integrated solutions
- Support pricing models, commercial frameworks, and GTM strategy
Requirements
- Commercial + technical hybrid leadership
- Systems thinking (component ? system ? ecosystem)
- Strong customer-facing executive presence
- Ability to translate complexity into clear, sellable pathways
- Execution discipline in fast-moving, capacity-constrained environments, * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5-10+ years in TIC, data centers, engineering services, or technical solutions
- Strong knowledge of:
- Certification and compliance frameworks
- Data center infrastructure (power, cooling, compute, modular systems)
- Field inspection and evaluation processes
- Proven ability to scale new service lines and integrated offerings
- Experience managing cross-functional teams

Benefits & conditions
Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $155,000 to $205,000 USD and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary.
This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday and personal days (totaling 12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
