Job description

This role is part of our Product Design team that uses their superpower of empathizing, understanding, and applying our users' and customers' needs, with the mission to created product experiences they love. Our designers come from a diverse set of skills and background - design systems, visual, interaction, content, and product design. At ServiceNow, design has a very intentional seat at the table, so our team collaborates closely with both engineering and product management from the get-go.

This role balances two horizons: near-term (0-6 months), integrating and scaling Veza's design system into enterprise-grade rigor; designing platform features like conversational AI and long-term (1-2 years), defining what an AI-native design practice and system look like as the primary mode of production shifts.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Lead end-to-end design for Identity Security cross-product platform initiatives, from discovery through high-fidelity delivery, spanning AI product surfaces, design systems, and key strategic investments.
  • Define and evolve design systems and frameworks that scale across multiple product domains, establishing the token structures, component definitions, and usage guidelines that serve as the source of truth for product teams.
  • Drive UX, interaction design, and visual quality for AI/ML product/platform experiences including generative AI surfaces, intelligent workflows, and agentic interfaces.
  • Prototype and validate concepts using AI-native tools and generative workflows, not only static high-fidelity comps, moving fluidly between deterministic and probabilistic interface paradigms as the problem demands.
  • Architect and evolve the design system to be ready for an AI-generated-UI future, building the data pipelines and automation that enable seamless design-to-code workflows at enterprise scale.
  • Partner with Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to align direction, unblock decisions, and ensure design intent is realized in production.
  • Own and continuously raise the quality bar for design processes across Platform and AI product pods., We approach our distributed world of work with flexibility and trust. Work personas (flexible, remote, or required in office) are categories that are assigned to ServiceNow employees depending on the nature of their work and their assigned work location. Requirements

  • 10+ years of product design experience with a portfolio that shows the thinking, the tradeoffs, and the impact not just the final screens.
  • A deep love for visual craft. You sweat typography, spacing, and polish because you know that's what separates good from memorable.
  • Fluent across the full design spectrum from broad user journey to micro-interaction, from UX strategy to pixel-level execution.
  • You thrive making complex enterprise products feel simple turning sophisticated B2B problems into experiences users enjoy.
  • Experience with large enterprise SaaS products with complex data, workflow, or platform problems; you're comfortable in deep, ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Experience designing AI-assisted workflows and platform features; you understand how to make AI feel useful and trustworthy, not overwhelming.
  • Someone who communicates like a pro. You give updates before you're asked, flag risks early, and keep dependent teams unblocked.
  • Fluent in AI-native design process, comfortable prototyping in code or generative tools, iterating on non-deterministic outputs, and adapting your workflow as AI reshapes how design gets made, not just what gets designed.
  • Experience shaping what a product or design practice should look like years from now, not only improving what exists today.
  • Hands-on experience building or scaling design systems with token pipelines, Figma variables, or design-to-code tooling at enterprise scale.
  • Someone who communicates like a pro. You give updates before you're asked, flag risks early, and keep dependent teams unblocked.
  • A true engineering and product partner. You see the engineering handoff as the beginning of your design coming to life and stay involved until it does, take feedback in stride, and make the work better., * BA/BS degree or higher in Design, Design Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent combination of education and experience in other related fields
  • Experience participating in the complete product development lifecycle of web and/or software applications.
  • Experience in user experience design or industry experience (corporate, software, web or agency)
